Sun and wind
are the most important climatic factors of Costa de la Luz. Thanks
to the mediterranean climate, which is marked by the proximity to
the north of Africa, in winter temperatures seldom fall below 10°
C (50°F), easily reaching 20°C (68°F) on noon. The humidity,
however, leads to a high level of rheumatic illness among the habitants.
Thanks to the winds, maximum temperatures in summer seldom rise
above moderate 30°C (86 °F), while in the interiour of Andalusia
or atCosta del Sol, 40° C (104 °F) easily can be reached.
With that balanced climate, the region of Cádiz counts with
warm wheather between spring and fall and a soft and moderate winter.
The best
months for travelling are,
without any doubt, spring and fall, when prices are low and the
temperatures pleasant. The high season is beteween Midst of July
and the End of August. During those months, the beaches fill up
with Spanish tourism. The Spaniards also like to spend Easter at
the coast. The rest of spring and autumn, the Spanish toursim concentrates
on week-ends. This is the favorite season of visitors from central
and northern Europe.
The majority of the restaurants and bars open daily from June to
September, the rest of the year on weekends.

With more than
3000 hours of sunshine,
the province of Cádiz is the sunniest region of Europe. A
guarantee for sunshine, however, can be given only in July andAugust
with stadistically 1 clouded day. Summer temperatures can be expected
between May and October. During the rest of the year, sometimes
it rains heavily, but after a while the blue sky appears again.
The Atlantic Ocean in the Golf of Cádiz is not as cold as
many believe. Already in May, the water temperatures rise above
20°C (68°F). Water temperatures that allow swimming can
be expected until midst or the end of October, sometimes until November.
Barbate
From luxurious Atlanterra / Zahara de los Atunes with its splendid
villas until the idyllic villages of Caños de Meca and Zahora,
the region of Barbate offers you endless beaches of finest sand
and a mosaic like landscape coloured in green, ocre and yellow.
The former hippy paradiese Caños de Meca transformed into
a romantic poblation in sensational landscape. Smaller kids enjoy
to swim and play in the warm water of the lagune of Zahora.
From Conil to Roche
Whoever visited Conil, fell in love with the small town with its
splendid white houses. In spite of growing tourism, it did not lose
its Andalusian charm. Thanks to the sloping situation, you enjoy
seaview from most ot the roof terraces. An enchanting old town,
a clean, broad beach of fine sand - Conil offers everything what
your heard desires.
A varied landscape surrounds Coni: fields, orchards, pine woods,
cliffs with pittoresque sand bays next to the elegant residential
area of Roche.

Vejer and El Palmar
Majestically it looks down from the steep hill, the historc Vejer,
who´s narrow streets makes you feel the morish past. Without
doubt, Vejer is one of the most beautiful and impressionate villages
of Spain.
In 10 km distance to the village you find the beach of Vejer: El
Palmar, an endless dream of finest sand. When low tide, the water
is very flat, allowing smaller kids to play and swim. Along the
beach there are smaller houses, restaurants and some small shops.
Sevilla City
There is no better place to live in Seville than the former jewish
quarter, called Barrio Santa Cruz. The narrow streets are closed
for cars. On every corner small bars are inviting for tapas. Often,
the alleys open to small plazas with street cafés, where
you can relax from the strains of the visits. All sight seeing monuments
of the old town, like the Giralda (cathedral), the Alcázar
(morish palace) or the Maestranza (bull fights) are in walking distance.
A couple of days are necessary to really enjoy this wonderful town.
Sevilla Country
If you want to visit Seville and Córdoba, but at the same
time you seek peace and relax, you might find an ideal accomodation
in one of the haciendas outside of Seville, like Los Graneros, El
Triguero or Los Cerrillares. Feel the arisctocratic spirit of the
ancient buildings, enjoy the specialities and recover at the pool
from the strains.
The Sierra Morena shows another aspect of Andalusia: extensive woods,
untouched nature, deers, wild boars, song birds and predators, clean
reservoirs where you can swim and fish.
